Good news, no, make that great news! The Sister Bay Shuttle Bus is starting again this summer and Birchwood Lodge is a pick-up/drop-off location. You may or may not know that Birchwood Lodge is in the ideal location in town, close enough to walk to everything in Sister Bay. Maybe, with the summer temps and humidity creeping up, you might not want to walk into town, or take your own care for such a short distance. . Since parking can be difficult in town on weekends, the Village of Sister Bay “has taken a leading role in in promoting safe ride options for those spending an evening at local dining establishments.” The daytime route will help alleviate traffic congestion in town as well. You can enjoy as little or as much time as you want and need downtown without all the hassle of finding a parking spot. Bus service will run during the day from 11am – 5pm (every 20 minutes)Thursday-Friday-Saturday, and 5pm – 11pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. Bus service begins begins June 29, 2019 and will extend to mid-October. The service is free with an on-board donation box.
