Have you ever been up in Sister Bay for any of the fun festivals that go on from spring through fall? If not, this is the year to enjoy any of the fun festivals that begin in early June. The best thing is there is no driving involved. Every festival event is just a short walk from Birchwood Lodge.

Join Sven the Goat for the 5th Annual Roofing of the Goats Parade on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.! Parade begins at the corner of Mill Road and Highway 42 in downtown Sister Bay, and goes a trot, kick and a leap down the road to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant. The parade culminates with the roofing of the first goats of the season at Al Johnson’s (weather permitting – the goats don’t go on the roof in rain or snow).  The Goat Parade will be followed by Al Johnson’s 3rd Annual Goat Fest, located at Stabbur Beer Garden (next to the restaurant). Goat Fest will feature all day festivities including: live music, kid’s games, various beverages, great food, and a Swedish Pancake Eating contest.  Other businesses throughout town will also be celebrating with specials.

Sister Bay’s first festival of the year on June 23, 2018 heralds the beginning of summer and provides an opportunity for everyone to get outside, enjoy life, check out our beautiful public beach, and all that’s new in the village.  Our annual Paddlefest event and Sister Bay’s is a great way to unplug & play! Everyone from old pros to the curious have the chance to check out the latest kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at Sister Bay Beach. Discover your inner-athlete and start your morning with stand-up paddleboard Yoga, SUP lessons or kayak and SUP tryouts. Experienced staff from Bay Shore Outfitters will be on the shore and in the water to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Sign up early for SUP Yoga as space is limited.

All kinds of water related activities take place at Waterfront Park, including a lighted boat parade, waterski show, fireworks, amusement rides for kids and entertainment at the pavillion.
