Have you ever thought of spending the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in Door County? It is a wonderful time to come up to Sister Bay for your holiday celebration. Many restaurants will be open to serve the traditional turkey dinner along with some specialty items. You might consider staying in one of our one or two bedroom units and prepare your own dinner in the full kitchen, with dining area in the suite. Sister Bay will be hosting the “Capture the Spirit” event which begins with the tree lighting by Father Christmas in the waterfront park. Other activities include the holiday annual arts and crafts sale in the Village Hall, the Northern Door Child Care Center holiday home tour of some beautifully decorated homes, and special music events at area restaurants. If there is snow, we can arrange a sleigh ride for you, or, you can hike the trails in the state parks. This could be the perfect weekend time for you to get away and take advantage of off season rates, too. We’re always happy to greet new and familiar faces throughout the year at Birchwood Lodge and there’s no better time than the holidays to welcome you here.
