It’s hard to believe that we’re thinking about the end of summer ’13 already. Of course there is still plenty of time to come up to Birchwood Lodge in Sister Bay and head out on summer adventures all over the county. With theater, music events, art exhibits, and a myriad of activities to enjoy outdoors in Door County, there’s still plenty of time to see and do it all through the rest of this summer. If you can’t take a vacation until later, you can make your plans now for Marina Fest, the last hurrah of summer in Sister Bay. This one day festival happens the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, which is Saturday, August 31st this year. Make it a three day weekend celebration with a stay at Birchwood Lodge. We’re conveniently located just a short walk to all of the Marina Fest activities in the waterfront park and marina. There’ll be live music all day, food, a water-ski show, kids’ activities and fireworks in the evening. Come on up for this exciting event and get ready to chill out, jump in and have a blast.
