Yoga classes will continue on Friday mornings in October, beginning at 8:00 AM in the Conference Room at the Birchwood Lodge. Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, all are welcome.

It was an honor and pleasure for the staff of the Birchwood Lodge in Sister Bay to welcome Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and some members of his staff as overnight guests at the lodge on August 1, 2010. He commented on the attractiveness, quality and cleanliness of the lodge during his stops in beautiful, Door County.

Birchwood Lodge will be the host location on Fridays in July for Yoga classes in Sister Bay. Come join the group from 7:30 to 8:45 am in the conference room at the lodge as Marcia Hoebreck leads participants through relaxing, yet invigorating breathing and stretching exercises. The dates for these sessions are July 9, 16 and 23. Birchwood Lodge guests are all welcome free of charge.

Birchwood Lodge, The Newest Resort With Some Fresh Updates

Birchwood Lodge in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, one of the newest resorts in Door County, is staying ahead of the competition this year with some recent sprucing up. The spring and summer tourist seasons are almost here and we’ve completed some projects to update and refresh our fine facilities. During the quiet time of March, the indoor swimming pool and whirlpool were resurfaced, the pool deck has been completely repainted and all pool main drain grates are in compliance with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. There is a new door to the sauna, too. The carpeting in hallways and many of the lodge rooms have been professionally cleaned. Twenty seven rooms will have new carpeting installed in late April or early May. Twenty-four units have new, 32″ LCD flat screen TV’s. We have replace all of our queen size pull out sofa sleepers. Guests often praise us for the cleanliness and modern appearance of the lodge and we appreciate those comments. We are proud of our facilities and the entire staff is committed to keeping guests comfortable and content. If you are first visitors or returning guests, we’re sure that you’ll be impressed with the “springtime freshness” of the Birchwood Lodge.
